Runaway Twin: p. 1-104

Girls:  I sat down the other day to start reading Runaway Twin, and my intention was to read to page 95(where we had decided to stop for our next meeting).  I really got drawn in to the book and read the entire book in one sitting!  When I realized I should probably stop at page 104, I was already way past it (oops)!

Ch. 5, p. 38
How did you feel when Sunny first met the dog outside of the restaurant?  I wanted to yell at her through the book, "Leave him there - don't bring him with you" or "Help him find someone to care for him - he will keep you from accomplishing your mission" ... although over the next few pages, I began to realize that since Sunny herself had been abandoned, she just couldn't abandon this sweet dog.  As it turns out, Snickers turned out to be a great travel companion and best pal.

How far have you gotten in the story?  Please remember, if you want to comment, use your blog name and only post comments through page 104.

Enjoy!

Runaway Twin by Peg Kehret

Today, our club decided to read Runaway Twin by Peg Kehret as our next Book Club Book.  We read the first chapter together and elected to read until page 104 (the end of Chapter 11) before our next meeting, on Monday, January 10th.

What are your thoughts as you begin this book?

Welcome to our 4th Grade Book Club Blog!

Hi Girls!

Welcome to our book club blog!  As you read our blog, you will notice that I have placed posts specific to chapter and page.  This will give you the option of commenting no matter where you are in the book.

A couple of rules:
1)  You must have signed parent permission to participate in the blog.
2)  Never use your full name.  Please use the "names" we have discussed.
3)  Write in complete sentences with your best grammar.
4)  Use your best judgment in writing comments.
5)  Have fun and be thoughtful readers!

Happy reading,
Mrs. Kupersztoch
